Two Reasons to Invest in Storm Panels

If the heavy afternoon thunderstorms have you wondering if your home can stand up to a hurricane, you’re not alone. We’ve already seen several named tropical storms brewing in the Atlantic, and hurricane season is barely underway. Learn how storm panels protect your home against extreme rain and hurricane-force winds.

Storm panels available in galvanized steel, aluminum, and lexan

FAS Windows & Doors offers three grades of storm panel material. These three materials are already pre-approved for use in the State of Florida. The strongest, but often most expensive, option is galvanized steel. Aluminum panels represent the middle ground of storm panels, offering protection rivaling galvanized steel at a lower price. In addition, aluminum panels are much easier to hang because they are light-weight. Another popular option is a clear lexan product that offers transparent protection, making visibility possible even when they are fully installed.
