FAS will also be attending the 49th Apopka Art & Foliage Festival. This event will take place on April 24th and 25th. It starts bright and early at 9:00 AM and ends at 5:00 PM. It is hosted by the GFVW Apopka Woman’s Club and will be held at Kit Land Nelson Park. More than 30,000 are expected to attend and see over 150 artists and crafters from across the nation. They will sell their work and compete for cash awards and ribbons.
You can expect different decorative ideas for your walls. You have the choice of hand crafted pottery, woodworking, stained glass, sculptures, basketry, and weavings. The largest part of the festival will be the “Conservation”. This part of the event will have the attendees learn how to conserve in today’s economy. Come by the FAS booth and see how you can do just that. The kids will love it too. There is a “Children’s Art Area” filled with school art and different activities. Live continuous entertainment by soloists, choruses, dancers, the FMUC Choir, Magician Joe Caccioppo, DJ’s Unlimited-Ralos Flores, and more.
