On September 29th, 2010, the Ronald McDonald House Charity will be opening their 300th house in St. Louis, Missouri.
At the Ronald McDonald House Charity, they believe there is strength in their numbers. It’s never just one, but millions of partnerships – just like the partnership it has with FAS Windows & Doors – that have made their support systems sturdy so that they can, in turn, make sure families are strong when facing their child’s medical illness.
The very first Ronald McDonald House was built in 1974, and now in 2010 they are opening the 300th house!
The 300th house will have 20 bedrooms on the campus of St. John’s Children’s Hospital. The house will be over 18,000 square feet and cost nearly $4.5 million dollars to build. They are aiming to offer 720 additional families a year a home away from home.
There will be 22 Ronald McDonald House Charity staff members at this new house, that will maintain the daily duties of the house throughout the year.

It’s wonderful to see how far the Ronald McDonald House Charity has truly impacted the community around them.
