Andersen Corporation plans an $18 million expansion project

Andersen Corporation has announced they are planning an $18 million expansion project. The plan is to add on to their existing 3-million-square-foot complex in Bayport Minnesota Part of the $18 million project fund will go towards the purchase of new machinery as well as create 100 more full time jobs. PGT is closing down?

Sophiep's Take on Things.... PGT Industries is closing down? Well, that's not the whole truth. The manufacturing plant in Salisbury, North Carolina will shut down at the end of the second quarter of 2011. According to Salisbury Post , an employee revealed the date of the last day, June 30th. The lay-offs will begin January 15th, 2011. About 490 jobs will be lost. However, the plan is to move production to its headquarters in Venice, FL. EPA's Regulation on Lead Paint

The new rule of lead paint requires certification to work in target housing that are built before 1978 if they are tampering painted surfaces.
