Sophiep's Take on Things....

2008 Tampa Bay Hurricane ExpoFAS will be part of the Tampa Bay Hurricane Expo that will take place at the Museum of Science & Industry on May 22nd. It begins at 9:00 a.m. and ends at 2:00 p.m. The main theme is "The First 72 Are Up To You!" This would a great opportunity to learn the necessary preparations when a hurricane strikes. There will be exhibits demonstrating how much water and food is enough for the first 72 hours. There will also be other exhibitors that can help protect your home. For example, there will be roofing companies, windows and more. To see the full list of exhibitors, click here.

Attendees will generate different ideas to solve the hurricane problem before it happens. FAS offers hurricane impact windows from Andersen, Simonton and others. To learn more about hurricane impact, click here for more detailed blogs. The event marketing staff will be there to showcase a couple window displays to show attendees why it's better to have hurricane impact glass versus double-pane glass for hurricanes.

Are you ready to take on the storm?
