Sophiep's Take on Things....
On Saturday, FAS will be part of
St. Petersburg Pride Day. This event is to unite, raise awareness, build self-esteem and create a positive image for lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender individuals. It is Florida's biggest Pride Celebration. Come down and enjoy the celebration. It is a family-oriented festival, so the kids are guaranteed a good time too. Accessible Parking will be located at
Suncoast Hospice, corner of 31st Street and 1st Avenue North with provided transportation to and from the St. Pete Pride Festival and
Promenade on Saturday, June 26, 2010. It starts at 10:00 AM and ends at 4:00PM.
FAS will be present at this festival to answer questions about windows and doors to those who are interested in replacing them. St. Petersburg is closer to the coast than Orlando is. Hopefully there will some concerned about hurricane windows. FAS will also present the monthly drawing. So, come by the booth and say hello! It will take place between
20st St and 28th St. By the way, it is free entry. See you there!
