 Sophiep's Take on Things....
FAS will be part of the 125th anniversary, Party in the Park, with a parade down Maitland Avenue. There will be strolling musicians, clowns, games, food, live music, and fireworks. It ends at Lake Lily Park. The event at Lake Lily will showcase The Maitland Historical Society, Art Center, Performing Arts, Public Library, Civic Organizations and Businesses. So prepare blankets and lawn chairs for seating.
Chalk Artists will be decorating our walkways with color and creativity. The Maitland Stage Band will perform at 6 pm, Goldenseal at 7 pm and the Maitland Symphony Orchestra will perform a special celebration concert at 8 pm that will provide a musical background for fireworks at 8:45 pm. Before the fireworks go off, visit the FAS booth and see what little present we have for you! Location:
