Sophiep's Take on Things....
 Nathaniel's Hope is "sharing the hope with special needs kids and their families". The founders of this charity are Nathaniel's parents, Marie and Tim Kuck. Nathaniel Timothy Kuck was born with an undiagnosed syndrome that lead to a life mostly in a hospital room. After four and a half years on Earth, he left for heaven. The charity, in honor of Nathaniel, was found in 2002. The purpose of the charity is to help families with kids who have physical or cognitive disabilities and life-threatening illness. They have programs to:
- reduce stress for kids with special needs and their families;
- share hope and encouragement;
- provide education to empower individuals in the community to reach out to those families.
On June 5th, FAS will be there to support the " Make 'm Smile" event. This event is a community festival to celebrate the kids with special needs. These kids are known as "VIP kids". The VIP kids take a stroll around Lake Eola with their families and enjoy free food, entertainment, prizes and other exhibitors that can offer service to the special needs community. So come out and show your support! If you would like to donate, click here!
