PGT is closing down?
Sophiep's Take on Things.... PGT Industries is closing down? Well, that's not the whole truth. The manufacturing plant in Salisbury, North Carolina will shut down at the end of the second quarter of 2011. According to Salisbury Post , an employee revealed the date of the last day, June 30th. The lay-offs will begin January 15th, 2011. About 490 jobs will be lost. However, the plan is to move production to its headquarters in Venice, FL.
